Selecting Setup>Instruction Types will display the Instruction Types screen.
This is where the different instruction types are set up. Clicking on the limits button () will show the different limit values for the selected instruction type. To add a type, select Add. This will direct the user to the instruction type configuration.
Select Next to continue setting up the instruction type. To edit a type, select the edit button (). This will also direct the user to the instruction type configuration.
The first step of the configuration is to verify the name of that instruction type. The Final Audit Required option is for sequencing purposes. If activated, a user cannot create a new instruction document of this type until a confirmation from the bank has been received that confirms the file on their side. The user selects Next to carry on with the configuration. Lead days will be added to actiondate for processing on document generation.
Next, the Plugin configuration takes place. Different details are entered, and the user chooses class types, which vary according to the selected Plugin.
The service day mappings can be specified for the instruction if applicable. Instructions would need to be processed taking into account the service day mapping period and when the instruction would be processed by the bank.
The Endpoint for the instruction type is the next part of the configuration. The delivery endpoint relates to the instruction document(s) that will be created for this instruction type and their location. The naming mask is the format in which the file name will be saved as. Selecting Edit next to Naming Mask will open an editor to choose certain variables to add in the name of the instruction document.
Select Done to return to the configuration screen. The protocol of the instruction type can be FileWrite or FTP. FileWrite will write the instruction file to a folder, and that directory needs to be entered. As well as the network user information.
The FTP protocol requires the network username and password, as well as the FTP URL to which the instruction file will be written on the FTP server.
For both protocols the network login can be tested by selecting Test Login, next to which the outcome of the test will be displayed once tested.
The Response Endpoint relates to the confirmation document(s) that will be received from the bank for this instruction type and their location. It works the same as with Delivery Endpoint, but this is for a hash file that is created with this instruction type. The hash file is a summary of only the account and total amount, which is created when the instruction document is created. Once the bank receives the instruction document, they also create a hash file. Central Park then compares the confirmation hash file received from the bank to the hash created when the instruction document was created. If the hash files match, Central Park sends a confirmation file to the bank, which then needs to be confirmed on that site in order for a load file to be created.
The user needs to select Save to save the changes. The user is the redirected to the instruction types screen.
